| Confirmation will be May 17, 2012 7:00pm at the cathedral of St. Paul. All candidates must be registered prior to the October 1, 2011 retreat. 8th grade students from all schools will prepare together for Confirmation through retreats, service experiences, small groups of peers, 1-1 time with sponsors, and personal reflection and prayer. Adult support and help is needed all along the way... ask how you can help. We will partner with St. Thomas More to prepare high school students who were not Confirmed in 8th grade. | Who should I ask to be my sponsor? Confirmation sponsors must be fully initiated Catholics who will accompany the candidates through the preparation process and who will stand with the candidates at the Cathedral on May 17, 2012 for their Confirmation. Sponsors must not be the parent of the candidate. Do I need to send in my baptism certificate? Yes if you were baptized in another parish. No if you were baptized at St. Gregory, St. Leo or St. Therese. If you have not yet celebrated First Eucharist, Phyllis will help you prepare now. What will I have to do? The candidates are expected to worship regularly at Sunday mass, to participate in school religion or Sunday Faith Formation classes, to participate in the large and small group Confirmation sessions, to chose a significant service activity (several options will be provided by Side by Side Ministries), to participate in the retreat.
