If one member suffers in the Body of Christ, which is the Church, all the members suffer with that person (I Corinthians 12:26). All Christians, because of their Baptism, are called to do what they can for the sick by visiting them and doing acts of kindness for them. “I was sick, and you visited me” (Matthew 25:36).
If you know someone who is ill and would like a visit from the Pastoral Minister or a parish volunteer, call the parish office at 651-698-5581. We will visit parishioners in their homes, senior residences, nursing homes, and in the hospital.

Hospitalization can be a lonely or difficult experience for people and we extend our caring ministry to parishioners there. Upon notification that a parishioner is hospitalized, a Eucharistic Minister will visit, bring Communion, and provide spiritual and emotional support. Due to privacy regulations, we are unable to know if you are at the hospital unless you inform us. If you, or a family member, are to be hospitalized, please contact the Parish Office at (651) 698-5581 to let us know.
Once a month, Catholic residents of area nursing homes and senior high-rise facilities are invited to Mass or a communion service in their facility. Volunteers from Lumen Christi escort residents to the chapel, visit with them, pray the rosary, and offer care and assistance during the Mass or Communion service. Then, once a week for the rest of the month, specially trained Eucharistic Ministers bring Communion to individuals in their rooms.
If you or someone you know is preparing for surgery or suffering with a serious illness, you are invited to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. The anointing may take place in the chapel with family and friends present, during a community Mass, or individually. Individuals should contact Mia Ah Sani, at 651-698-5581 ext. 105, to arrange a time for this sacrament.
Specially trained lay ministers bring Communion to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass, but wish to receive the Eucharist. The minister typically visits every other week. Parishioners may receive Communion at home for short-term recovery from surgery or on a long-term basis. If you would like to have Communion brought to you, please contact Mia Ah Sani, at 651- 698-5581 ext. 105.

Coping with a death can result in stressful changes. Gaining an understanding of the grief process in a caring and supportive atmosphere increases coping skills and leads to personal growth. Group meetings are held on Thursdays, 6:00 8:00 p.m.
Each session includes a half hour educational presentation and small group support to share experiences and concerns. The support groups are led by specially trained facilitators. There is no fee and individuals may join at any time. Contact Mia Ah Sani, at (651) 698-5581 ext. 105 to find out the meeting location.
