If one member suffers in the Body of Christ, which is the Church, all the members suffer with that person (I Corinthians 12:26). All Christians, because of their Baptism, are called to do what they can for the sick by visiting them and doing acts of kindness for them. “I was sick, and you visited me” (Matthew 25:36).
If you know someone who is ill and would like a visit from the Pastoral Minister or a parish volunteer, call the parish office at 651.698.5581. We will visit parishioners in their homes, senior residences, nursing homes, and in the hospital. Note that hospital personnel do not notify us when our parishioners are hospitalized; family members or friends must make these calls to us.

One of the reasons that the Eucharist is reserved after a Mass is so that we are able to bring communion to the sick. We have Eucharistic ministers who are available to bring communion to persons who are homebound, in nursing homes, senior residences and hospitals. It also is possible for a family member or neighbor to bring communion to someone after Mass calling the parish office and talking to the Pastoral Minister.
