At the 10:30 Mass, children in preschool through 3rd grade are invited to go with teen and adult leaders to hear the Gospel proclaimed in simpler language and to respond to it. No registration is required. Young children who participate should be able to separate from parents and sit in a circle with the other children. Preschool and kindergarten children meet in the chapel. Children in grades 1-3 meet in the community room.
Lumen Christi Catholic Community collaborates with 3 other area churches to provide a week of fun, faith and fellowship each June. Hundreds of volunteers are needed to prepare and staff this wonderful week. Save the week of June 18, 2012.
all sacramental preparation is focused on assisting families to participate more fully in the sacramental life of the church. Children and youth must either be enrolled in a formation program through the parish (see Youth Formation above) or attend a Catholic school. The sacramental preparation programs build on the foundational curriculum provided in parish or school. Parents take a leading role in preparing children with support and curriculum provided by the parish.
